Benoit Viellefon is one of the outstanding band leaders at work in Europe today, backed by an all-star cast of the UK’s finest swing musicians.
Benoit’s Hot Club; inspired by the hot swinging music that emerged from the infamous Parisian Cafes and nightclubs of the 1920s & ‘30s, celebrates the burning excitement of those hot gypsy swing numbers made famous by Django Reinhardt, together with the romanticism of the finest musettes and waltzes from the French tradition. With a nod to the American jazz virtuosi who visited Paris, such as Louis Armstrong and Sidney Bechet, the Hot Club features both trumpet and clarinet alongside the timeless two-guitars and double bass line-up.
Benoit has often performed for A-list celebrities, major corporations and royalty from The British Royal Family to Madonna and Kate Moss. Festival appearances have included Glastonbury, Camp Bestival, London Jazz Festival and Vintage Festival UK.
