Mega Circus Workshops offer the finest Circus Skills Workshops for schools, team building and events.
Schools
With combined experiences in hundreds of primary and secondary schools the Mega Circus Workshops team bring their energy, skills and passion to any educational establishment. Pupils can try their hand at juggling, plate spinning, diabolo and big props like stilts, unicycles, hula hoops and circus hats.
A full day booking consists of a 20 minute assembly followed four 60 minute sessions through the day, each accommodating a normal class size. That means 120 – 130 pupils can participate in a single day. With multiple workshop leaders even more pupils can participate. Different formats and session lengths can be tailored to your requirements and include more skills such as tightrope walking.
A circus skills day can be an end of term reward or mid term treat. Hidden in the fun there are many benefits – coordination & concentration, confidence & cognitive development, inclusivity and inspiration. There are also lots of curriculum links – circus topics, Big Write projects, Chinese New Year, PE and sport.
Team Building
All ages and abilities can participate in non threatening activities that promote team work and positive attitudes and display recognisable outcomes and inspirational achievements. Everyone goes away energised and having shared a unique experience. Previous clients have included HSBC, Rolls Royce, Microsoft, KPMG, Waitrose and more.
Events
From Glastonbury Festival to Scout Camps – a Mega Circus Workshop is a great addition to any event. At a drop in workshop all ages can have a go at all the skills and we promise to add colour, fun, movement and excitement to add to the proceedings. Our set up includes bunting, signs, flags and all the equipment so we are fully self contained. We can even add in shows and walkabout entertainment if required.
We pride ourselves on putting in the extra effort required to make a Mega Circus Skills workshop day a memorable and easily manageable experience for all involved. All our equipment coordinates and we wear bright, smart outfits. Our many years of experience mean we are adaptable, approachable and relate well with all ages. And we all love what we do and want to bring the joy of the circus to you!
All the workshops are run by a small team of dedicated, full time, circus professionals with experience of performing all over UK, Europe and Middle East at high profile festivals, sporting & cultural events from the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix to the MTV Europe Music Awards. Meet the team
Jem has been a professional performer and workshop leader for 20 years. He has performed in Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain, Switzerland and even Palestine, as well as all over the UK. He enjoys sharing his skills with others and seeing them achieve what seems impossible! He also runs workshops for children with special educational needs.
Steve is a very experienced performer, from being a clown in Beirut to filming the TV show ‘Brum’ in Birmingham. Like all the instructors he is multi-skilled in lots of circus tricks and has a great ability to teach the skills and entertain all ages. He performed at the MTV Europe Awards in Germany and performs as half of ‘The Dapper Chaps’ with Jem.
Mark has spent many years performing & teaching and his talents include riding a 5ft unicycle and balancing on a ladder amongst his skills, along with more down to earth juggling tricks. He recently coordinated a fire show for Legoland. Like all the instructors he can offer an inspiring mix of performance and tuition.
